Before moving you should notify the following people and organisations to allow them to contact you in the future.
Your solicitor or conveyancer will notify your local council and water authority when the property changes hands. Please make sure you change your license, registration, and electoral details as this is required by law.
Just in case you forget to notify someone of your move, ask your post office to redirect your mail from your old address to your new one. As you receive mail addressed to the old residence make sure to update your details. Other notifications include:
Banks and lenders – Change address details for each account.
Telephone and internet service providers.
Subscriptions and memberships.
Superannuation fund.
Schools, Collages, University, or TAFE.
Austudy or Social Security.
Electricity and Gas suppliers.
Insurance companies.
Clubs and associations.
Professionals, such as: Doctor, Dentist, Accountant, Stock Broker, Solicitor, etc.
